Arseblog 20 is a series of 20 podcasts to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Arseblog. In each episode, I’ll speak to a guest about a particular calendar year of the site’s existence, picking out games, goals , personal memories and recollections, transfers, forgotten moments, successes, failures, ups and downs, trophies, fun times, sad times, arrivals and departures, and lots more.

In this episode, I speak to Pete Wood about 2018:

We discuss:

  • Arsene Wenger’s departure
  • Ivan, Sven and Raul
  • Unai Emery’s wildcard appointment
  • Early promise unfulfilled
  • And more

  1. A good listen, wow what a turbulent time Arsenal have had in the last 5 years or so! Some juicy stuff in here on Unai, Raul and the gang. You should get Pete on more often, you’ve probably disagreed on things over the years but maybe a bit more aligned these days. Fingers crossed Arsenal edge closer to where we all want them to be. Congratulations on 20 years! I think I started reading in 2002/3, it was always good getting your perspective on living in Barcelona, a city I’ve been to many times over the years. Keep up the stellar work!

  2. Looking forward to this one. The enduring class and experience of Arseblog talking to the edgy (long-established), up-and-comer Le Grove!
